How to check the quality of spark plugs

1. Look at the color of the spark plug to distinguish the quality of the spark plug:

    The well-fired ones are dark red, the color white indicates that the mixture is rare, and the color black indicates that the mixture is thick;

2. Use the cylinder line to see the flashover to distinguish the quality of the spark plug:

    A good spark plug, the spark is blue, basically in a straight line between the electrodes, a bad spark plug will have no fire or the spark is too chaotic;

3. The color of the flashover distinguishes the spark plug from good or bad:

    If the flashover is too strong, it will appear white, and if the flashover is too weak, it will appear red. Such spark plugs are generally bad.

Commonly used spark plugs are resistance spark plugs, platinum spark plugs and iridium spark plugs. The function of the spark plug is to introduce the pulsed high-voltage electricity produced by the ignition coil into the combustion chamber, and ignite the mixture with the help of the electric spark generated by the electrode to complete the combustion of the mixture.
